Reflection on EIR week4&5 practical

Benefits i get when using different search facilities to search for resources related to my topic.
Firstly, each search facilities will result different web pages and with these i have more websites that is related and relevant to my topic.
Secondly, when comes searching my query, i know which search facility best suits my search.
example: if you are searching for jobs, you might want to try using directory because the web pages there were mostly new and updated by people.
Last of all, i know more about the search facilites when i am using them and their functions and features.

Reflection on EIR on 4 Nov 08 week 3

I have chosen "Impact of Alcoholism on youths" as my topic.

So... what i have learnt in my lesson, is to identify keywords and use a different key variations.
In addition, finding out and comparing the strength and weaknesses
in both google and google scholar.
Yes indeed i am impressed by google's search functions/features, with results related to my search coming out less than 1sec. It also has advanced search to make the my search more specific and images which i can look at.
Now that i learn more about google's features, i will try use both google and Yahoo(i always use) to search my query.
I also learn how to cite resources from websites, articles and having Bibliography.
Question : Why must we do citation and bibliography?
To acknowledge the source of information and plagiarism is not allowed.
A must feature when doing research work so that your teacher knows where you get the information from and do you just copy and paste?.
